William Shakespeare wrote his play Henry VIII ten years after the death of Elizabeth, He concludes the drama with a spectacular scene depicting the christening of the infant Elizabeth. In the scene, Thomas Cranmer, Archbishop of Canterbury and Elizabeth's godfather, delivers a prophetic speech about her future glory.
