Praised by the Chicago Sun-Times for her "glowing, pure line," soprano Amy Conn performs throughout the Midwest as a soloist and small ensemble singer. Recent performances include Bach's B Minor Mass, Pergolesi's Stabat Mater, Vivaldi's Dixit Dominus, Couperin's Le�on des T�n�bres and Orff's Carmina Burana. Ms. Conn has performed as a soloist with the Northwest Indiana Symphony, the Lutheran Choir of Chicago, the Bach Chamber Choir, and the Janus Ensemble. She regularly performs with both Music of the Baroque, and Chicago Acappella. Stage appearances include lead roles in The Turn of the Screw and Pirates of Penzance. Amy is one of the founding members of Urban Baroque, a small voice and period instrument ensemble and has performed with the group since 1999. She has a CD of Celtic Baroque music with Ars Antigua coming out in 2004. Highlights of the 2003-04 season include a recital at the Chicago Cultural Center with song settings of Elizabeth Barrett Browning and Robert Browning, a live appearance on WFMT with Urban Baroque of French and Italian Baroque Chamber Music and an all-Monteverdi program with Music of the Baroque.
