Elizabeth I: Regina Speaks

Steppenwolf Artistic Director Martha Lavey reads selected speeches by Elizabeth I, head of state and conspicuous consumer who kept her small nation afloat financially amid a context of military and political intrigue. Renaissance scholars Clark Hulse, UIC Graduate College dean, and Mary Beth Rose, director of the UIC Institute for the Humanities, provide context.
